Deadpool Is The Last Superhero Ryan Reynolds Will Ever Be

Ryan Reynolds is an old pro when it comes to comic book movies. The 38-year-old actor has already appeared in four films from the genre: Blade Trinity, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Green Lantern, and R.I.P.D., and has a fifth one on the way, Deadpool.

But don't expect Reynolds to suit up as another comic book movie character, as the actor shunned the idea of being Batman or anyone else after Deadpool.

"We all want to be Batman alone at home in our specifically-sewn Bat pajammies, but no, I have no desire to play any other superheroes after this," Reynolds disclosed to Huffington Post. "Hopefully we'll get to do 'Deadpool' again. Given the fact that it's rated R, the fans have to show their support for it, and they have to come out and make it worthwhile for the studio to make another one, but that's it for me. I've punched that superhero card a few times now, and that's enough."

Based upon Marvel Comics' most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
