Quick update: legendary illustrator Michael Golden has joined the 'SPAWN' team and will be the regular cover artist for the comic book. Even if you don't know Golden by name (which you probably do), you know his work. His career began in the mid-'70s, and he's probably best known for his work on 'Micronauts' and 'The 'Nam.' But he's illustrated hundreds of characters, including major ones such as Superman, Spider-Man, Avengers, and more. Plus he has a ton of great cover work under his belt. "I've been a fan of Michael Golden's almost as long as I've been a fan of comic books. He's been a huge influence on my artwork over the years ," said McFarlane. "After having the pleasure of inking him on the 200th Anniversary issue of SPAWN, I knew I wanted us to work together again in the near future. When the opportunity presented itself soon after, I knew he was the perfect choice for cover artist. Don't miss his debut in this month's issue of SPAWN!" Image Comics Publisher Eric Stephenson added, "Between getting back on schedule and a fresh creative team that's pushing the story into new and exciting places, SPAWN has been at the absolute top of its game this year. Adding a powerhouse like Michael Golden to the mix is only going to strengthen an already top-notch series." This is a great get by 'SPAWN.'
