Ora TV has provided ComicBook.com with an exclusive clip from an upcoming Larry King Now intereview with Doctor Who star Peter Capaldi.
In the clip, King asks Capaldi why he accepted the role of the Doctor.
"When I was a little kid, my favorite show was Doctor Who," Capaldi answers. "And I used to write to the actor who played Doctor Who, and he changed I few times when I was young, but they'd send me back autographed pictures, and I thought the show was the most amazing thing."
Capaldi goes on to describe a time that he was sent a script from an upcoming episode of the show – unthinkable in today's television climate – and how that script inspired him to become an actor.
Doctor Who airs Saturdays at 9 p.m. ET on BBC America.
