Fantastic Beasts B-Roll Footage Released

Accio B-Roll! Get your wands at the ready, Potterheads. A slew of B-Roll footage from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has hit the Internet, and it gives fans an inside look at how the magical flick was filmed.

The 7-minute video shows actors like Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterstone, and Ezra Miller working on Fantastic Beasts. The trio can be seen speaking with director David Yates about their lines and markers - and even JK Rowling can be spotted wandering about set. The beloved author scripted Fantastic Beasts, and she has famously been involved with all the live-action Harry Potter films since the first one premiered.

Watching the behind-the-scenes footage, fans can see how massive the set for Fantastic Beasts is. The period film takes place in the late 1920s, and Warner Bros. was careful to make the blockbuster as accurate as possible. Fans can see massive stage sets, building facades, and period cars driving about the se - and that's not to even mention the cast's elaborate outfits.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is an all-new adventure returning us to the wizarding world created by J.K. Rowling. Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything) stars in the central role of wizarding world magizoologist Newt Scamander, under the direction of David Yates, who helmed the last four Harry Potter blockbusters. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt's fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.
