Happy birthday, Linda Hamilton! The actress turns 60 today.
Linda was born in Maryland and raised by her mother and step-father. The actress and her identical twin sister were raised in a quiet suburb that Linda described as “very boring, white Anglo-Saxon.” She decided to pursue acting professionally and eventually moved to New York to attend theater workshops.
Linda’s acting debut came on television when she was cast in Secrets of Midland Heights. She then hit the big screen in TAG: The Assassination Game before landing a role in Children of the Corn. Linda was cast in The Terminator to play Sarah Connor alongside Michael Biehn. The move was a massive hit, and Linda went on to reprise her role in Terminator 2: Judgement Day. The films earned millions worldwide, and Linda continues to embrace her sci-fi legacy even today. Recently, the actress returned to play Sarah in Terminator Salvation.
