If Henry Cavill has it his way, he'll be portraying the Man of Steel for a very long time.

The actor spoke with the Anglophile Channel and expressed how pleased he is to be portraying the world's greatest superhero and working with Warner Bros, Comic Book Movie reports.

"I love the character," Cavill said. "I love working with Warner Bros. and what they're doing with it, and so fingers crossed I'll be able to tell the story for many, many years to come."

The highly anticipated Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice will be cinematic history in the making. For the first time ever, DC's Trinity, Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, will appear together on the big screen in a live-action adaptation.

While it is a sequel to Man of Steel, Dawn of Justice is being established as the "official debut" of the DC Cinematic Universe. A multitude of prominent players are expected to appear in the film.

Dawn of Justice soars into theaters March 25, 2016.
