Fox has released a new one-sheet for The X-Files six-episode event series that features a shadowy-look at the infamous Cigarette-Smoking Man/C.G.B. Spender (William B. Davis)
The anonymous villain, who served as the central antagonist for most of the original series, is making a surprising return for the revival. Why's that? In the series finale, he was blown to smithereens by a rocket shot from a helicopter. It'll be interesting to see how they address that in the revival.
For those of you watching Fox's Gotham this evening, be on the lookout for a new sneak preview of The X-Files revival.

David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprise their iconic roles as Agent Fox Mulder and Agent Dana Scully in the upcoming event series which will encompass a mixture of stand-alone investigative episodes and those that further the original show's seminal mythology. In the opening episode, Mulder and Scully take on a case of a possible alien abductee.
The X-Files has a two-night season premiere airing Sunday January 24, 2016 10-11pm ET/7-8pm PT (after NFC Championship Game) and Monday January 25, 2016 at 8pm.
