It's Comic-Con time! Wait, what? It looks like the Power Rangers will be making their way to San Diego Comic Con later this month.

News of the team's alleged appearance broke when actor Dacre Montgomery uploaded a very shirtless photo of himself to Twitter yesterday. Posing after a workout, Dacre shows off his rippling muscles considering he's set to play the Jason/The Red Ranger in Lionsgate's upcoming Power Rangers film. He wrote a short message to accompany the post which reads, "See you very soon Comic-Con. #comiccon2016 #SanDiego."

While his co-stars haven't confirmed their appearances at SDCC yet, it's likely the group will all come together to get fans hyped for the film as it's set to hit theaters on January 13th 2017. Talent like Becky G, RJ Cyler, Naomi Scott, and Ludi Lin have been cast as Dacre's teammates while Elizabeth Banks has been cast as Rita Repulsa. Earlier last month, it was announced that Bryan Cranston had joined the project to play Zordon, the team's famously disembodied mentor.

The film will bring the Power Rangers back to the big screen for nostalgic fans who grew up watching the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV series. The upcoming film will modernize the old series and reimagine many of its original characters. Lionsgate released an official synopsis for the film which can be read below:

"Saban's Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late."

Dacre signed onto Power Rangers last October, and the film will stand as his first big-screen debut. The actor, who hails Perth, Australia, was active in his hometown's local theater scene. Prior to being cast in Power Rangers, he had only starred in two smaller screen projects, so fans are interested to see what the young actor will bring to the film.

If we're going off the kid's workout regimen, it seems like Dacre is making every effort to get ready for his role. Just look at him. After all, the actor's abs definitely don't lie.
