Suicide Squad Officially Coming to Arrow

While Stephen Amell has spent a lot of time teasing the fifteenth episode of Arrow's second season, titled "The Promise," producers today announced that the episode that follows it, likely to air sometime in March, will carry a familiar and tantalizing title for DC Comics fans. The episode's title is "Suicide Squad," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told reporters tonight at a Q&A following a screening of tomorrow's episode, "Heir to the Demon." The episode is expected to feature both new and returning characters--with Amanda Waller (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), Bronze Tiger (Michael Jai White) and Ben Browder (former Blackhawk Ted Gaynor) reappearing in the episode according to Green Arrow TV--the last of those, presumably, in flashback since Gaynor has already died on the show. There have been rumors for some time that Suicide Squad may be adapted as a film from Warner Bros. When DC launched the New 52, Adam Glass (who writes for The CW's Supernatural) was tapped to pen the series.
