Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Ultimate Visual History To Be Released In June

Insight Editions has announced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Ultimate Visual History by Andrew Farago. The book tells the complete, never-before-told story of how Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird's self-published comic book creation from 1984 became a phenomenon with televisions series, toys and movies, now lasting 30 years. The Ultimate Visual History traces the Turtles' history from their origin in black-and-white comic books to their multimillion dollar breakout success that solidified their presence in the popular culture. The book also features interviews with Eastman, Laird, animator Fred Wolf, creature effects creator Brian Henson, and "Ninja Rap" artist Vanilla Ice. The book features rare art and items from the Turtles comics, television shows and movies, including special, removable items, like:

• The first press release from Mirage Studios
• A complete reprint of the very first TMNT comic book
