The Walking Dead #129 Sneak Preview, The Issue Daryl Dixon Was Once Teased For

Skybound has released a sneak preview of The Walking Dead #129. In keeping with recent tradition, Skybound has only offered up a couple panels from the issue, preferring to keep most of the issue under wraps until it arrives in comic book stores on Wednesday.

The cover of the issue features a shot of several walkers approaching. As Walking Dead fans might remember, Skybound teased a very different look for the cover to The Walking Dead #129 on April 1, 2014. This is the issue that Skybound had indicated Daryl Dixon would be introduced in the comic book. However, the whole thing was an April Fools' Day joke, so it's very unlikely Daryl will be showing up.

All the teaser text for the issue indicates is "Even now, they still find new ways to dispose of the dead." The three panels from the issue that were released don't give away much either, but there is one shocking tease.

The first panel shows Negan saying, "You're just getting things ready for me. You know I won't be in here forever." It's unclear exactly who Negan is talking to. The second panel shows the new character Magna, as if Negan might be talking to her, but it's unlikely the panels are being shown in order. The third panel shows a horse-drawn carriage leaving town on a dusty road.

The Walking Dead #129 is written by Robert Kirkman with art by Charlie Adlard, Stefano Gaudiano, and Cliff Rathrun. The cover is by Charlie Adlard and Dave Stewart. The Walking Dead #129 is set to arrive in comic book stores on Wednesday, July 9, 2014.
