Nothing quite like a horde of zombies headed straight for you, am I right?

Be warned, spoilers follow if you have not yet seen the season six premiere of The Walking Dead.

Spoiler gap. Spoiler gap. Spoiler gap. Spoiler gap.

You've been warned.

At the end of "First Time Again," Rick had to put Carter down just as chaos is about to break loose following the unleashing of an extremely loud horn from the direction of their Alexandria home. So, what happens next? And what are those horns?

To answer the first question, it seems simple. The massive horde of walkers will smother Alexandria, knock down walls, and claim a whole bunch of victims. Why do I say this? Combining knowledge of the comics and coming attractions for the season, it seems like a fair claim.

In The Walking Dead's comics, shortly after the execution of a Pete, an altercation with a group called the DC Scavengers lead to the series' largest zombie horde flocking to Alexandria for what a story line titled, "No Way Out." The horde took down the walls of Alexandria and claimed several victims, in the comics, including Douglas Monroe (the comic book counterpart of Deanna) and Jessie Anderson.

It isn't unlikely that the horns are a call for help from someone back at the Safe-Zone with the DC Scavengers having showed up at the gates demanding entry. However, before we rule any of this as law, it is also possible the Wolves are behind this. They were hardly mentioned in the premiere, but it's not secret they collect walkers, as seen at the end of season five. The horn could be a tactic they use to attract the undead or maybe just a method of throwing off Rick's big plan.

According to Lincoln, Rick's priority right now is "to try and determine what the sound is." Lincoln explained to ComicBook.com, "I think his major priority is to try and work out how they're gonna lead this 20,000 horde back onto the road. That's no small feat. There are many things going through his head but the initial thing is let's regroup, let's see what we can do, let's make a plan, very quickly."

"Rest assured, Rick Grimes is a man with a plan and he likes making them," Lincoln says. "They sometimes go completely wrong. He's not ashamed of his plan making. There will be something up his sleeve."

The picture will become more clear next week when The Walking Dead airs episode 06x02 at 9 PM EST on AMC.
