It’s no secret that the Warcraft movie failed, domestically. The movie flopped at the box office and was panned by critics.

Overseas, however, Warcraft was a major success. The movie hauled in $386 million against the $47 million in the States. With such success overseas, speculation remains regarding the possibilities of a sequel. After all, the movie did leave several doors open for more stories from the popular video game to be adapted to the big screen.
Director Duncan Jones recently took to Twitter to discuss his plans for a sequel with a fan eager to see the Doomplate armor on Orgrim. According to Jones, the iconic armor was planned for the sequel — which he does not sound optimistic about.
@Jow3h Would have been in film 2, if it were to happen.

The director was hardly finished sharing details about his hopeful plans should Warcraft turn out to earn a sequel with him at the helm.
@Jow3h With the orcs now in Azeroth, they learn about armor making in this new world.

@Jow3h Also would have seen Dalaran LAND in the Alterac mountains & magic proliferate as Kirin Tor try to be more open after death of Llane.

@Jow3h Main orc focus would have been Go’el’s imprisonment & violent bid for freedom.

@DreamwolfKima @Jow3h Don’t want to give too much away, as who knows… but Khadgar unleashing Pandora’s Box, Lothar arc, Varian.

Jones does admit his own fault. The director says that doing too much with one film can cause it to lose focus, so stuffing too many details into the sequel could hurt it in the same ways which caused the original to suffer.
@DreamwolfKima @Jow3h You have to focus. Trying to serve too many threads is exactly the problem that got us in this position.
