AMC has provided ComicBook.com with an exclusive clip from this week's episode of Preacher, titled "El Valero."
At the end of last week's episode, "He Gone," Odin Quincannon led his Meat Men to Jesse Custer's church, intent on taking the land that he believes is rightly his. Jesse isn't going down with a fight, though. In the clip above, Odin sends his meat men in to take the church by force. Things don't go well for the Meat Men.
Preacher airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
On the eighth episode, "El Valero" – written by Eric Dufault and directed by Kate Dennis – In a fierce gun battle Jesse faces off against Quincannon and the Meat Men to protect his church, while Tulip tries to save a friend.
Based on the popular cult comic book franchise of the same name, Preacher is a supernatural, twisted and darkly comedic drama that follows a Texas preacher named Jesse Custer, who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that causes him to develop a highly unusual power: the ability to make people do his bidding with just a word. Once this power attracts the attention of two mysterious angels (Fiore and DeBlanc), Jesse, his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip, and an Irish vampire named Cassidy are thrust into a crazy world populated by a cast of characters from Heaven, Hell and everywhere in between.
The Sony Pictures Television and AMC Studios co-production was developed for television by Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg ("This Is the End," "Superbad," "Neighbors") and showrunner Sam Catlin ("Breaking Bad").
