Berlanti directed the 2010 film Life As We Know It, but fans will also know him for his producing work on the DC TV shows The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow. Matthew Robinson will be writing the script with Marc Platt producing.
The upcoming remake will be the third big-screen version of the film, following one in 1960 and the more well-known 1986 version starring Rick Moranis.
Berlanti has proven his skills of mixing comedic, dramatic, and thrilling narrative beats with his work on the DC shows, so he makes a great choice to move forward as the director. There’s no word yet on the cast or a release date, but we’ll make sure to keep you updated!
Do you think Berlanti is a good choice for this movie? Let us know in the comments!
