Rogue One: A Star Wars Story recently released it's final trailer before it's December release, and now the myriad of teasers, TV spots, and previous trailers have been compiled into one that plays out in chronological order.

The trailer supercut from Gamespot shows all of the clips in sequential order, and while the clips only add up to just over 4 minutes in length, you still get a good sense of the plot progression when they're all lined up together.

You can watch the entire supercut trailer above.

Rogue One is the first of several planned spinoff films for the Star Wars universe, and actually originated from the original Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. In the opening sprawl of that film, the text makes reference to the Rebel Alliance's first major victory against the Empire, and Rouge One lets fans finally see how that mission plays out.

From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire's ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on December 16.
