Harrison Ford might be putting the Han Solo in his rear view mirror after being killed off in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but the character will continue to appear courtesy of Disney's latest animated series.
Now we know which actors will be playing the role in Star Wars: Forces of Destiny — and we say 'actors' because the series is featuring Han in two different eras.
Fans already got to see old Han in the half-hour special that just aired on Disney Channel, with Kiff VandenHeuvel voicing the character in an episode where he helps Rey, Chewie, BB-8, and Finn locate a tracking device Unkar Plutt placed on the Millennium Falcon.
In another episode set to air as part of the next 30-minute special for the series, AJ LoCascio voices the character in an adventure set on Endor during same time period as Return of the Jedi. That special is set to premiere on Disney Channel at the end of October.
The actors join Star Wars stalwarts like Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Lupita Nyong'o, Ashley Eckstein, and Tiya Sircar, voicing the galaxy's most infamous smuggler across the different trilogies.
LoCascio is a prominent voice actor who can currently be heard in Netflix's Voltron: Legendary Defender as Prince Lotar.
VandenHeufel has appeared in films like LaLa Land and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but he's also a well-known voice actor in games like Horizon Zero Dawn and Bioshock Infinite.
Star Wars: Forces of Destiny returns to the Disney Channel with another half-hour special on October 29.0comments
