In the upcoming final season of Star Wars Rebels, producers revealed during Star Wars Celebration: Orlando, Ahsoka Tano will indeed return — and according to actress Ashley Eckstein, the return itself is pretty badass.

“I want to know more about Ahsoka’s future as this kind of neutral character,” Eckstein told Yahoo. “Her lightsabers are white because she’s neutral. She’s not on the Dark Side, she’s not a Jedi. She’s not even a full-blown Rebel. What is she doing? Where is she? All I can say is, you’ll see Ahsoka again.”
The #AhsokaLives wave began after the character’s standoff with her former master Darth Vader in a Sith temple on Malachor. The temple exploded as Vader escaped, but the show did not reveal what happened to his old apprentice.
Filoni has been messing with fans of Ashley Eckstein’s character ever since, capping off his insidious campaign during today’s Star Wars Celebration panel when he appeared on stage wearing a shirt that said “AHSOKA LIVES?”
Filoni and the cast spoke about a lot of different elements making up the journey of the Ghost crew so far before he announced that the upcoming fourth season would be the show’s last.
Then, the lights dimmed and they capped off the panel with the premiere of the trailer for the new season. And when the auditorium lit up once again, Filoni’s shirt changed to read “AHSOKA LIVES!”
