After an episode that was incredibly well-received, diving deeper than ever into Star Wars lore and the emotional backstory of the characters, Star Wars Rebels fans have a bit of a wait until the next chapter. There's a four-week break now between parts one and two of this new Mandalorian-focused saga, as "Legacy of Mandalore," the next new episode, won't air until February 18, 2017. The hiatus was confirmed by Lucasfilm PR and again on Rebels Recon, the official aftershow of the series.

There weren't any specific reasons given for the hiatus, which comes after four new episodes in the three week span, but it's usually a combination of factors - when they want a later episode to air, the things they're going up against in those weeks, things like that. February 18 puts it right into February sweeps, a crucial time for picking up advertisers, getting additional season orders, and more intangibles, so it's possible that they're holding this episode, an extremely pivotal one to the story and offering up more insight into the fan-favorite Mandalorians, for that purpose.

Either way, fans can go back on demand and on WatchDisneyXD website and app and rewatch this season for clues; there've been several Mando-focused (or rather Sabine-focused) episodes so far this season that are probably worth a rewatch or two in the meantime.

Executive produced by Simon Kinberg and Dave Filoni, the in-canon series helps to connect the worlds of the films and the previous animated series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, with guest appearances so far by characters like Lando Calrissian, Ahsoka Tano, Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Leia Organa, Wedge Antilles, and more.
