‘The Walking Dead’ Marches To War In 25+ Photos From Season 8’s Premiere

If The Walking Dead‘s Season 8 trailer didn’t promise war enough, a huge batch of new photos from the upcoming premiere will.

The photos, rounded up from IGN and EW in the gallery below, showcase almost every living character on The Walking Dead preparing for battle as the lines have been drawn between Rick and Negan’s armies.

“Up until now, survival has been the focus of Rick and our group, but it’s not enough,” The Walking Dead Season 8 synopsis reads. “They have to fight to take back their freedom so that they can live. So that they can rebuild. As with any battle, there will be losses. Casualties. But with Rick leading the Alexandrian forces, Maggie leading the Hilltop, and King Ezekiel leading the Kingdom — Negan and the Saviors’ grip on this world may finally be coming to an end.”

Of course, featured in the photos is a trio of Negan, Dwight and Eugene. While Dwight appears to be seeing the light and aligning himself with Rick’s group for the war, Eugene seems to be a complete traitor siding with the enemy in favor of his own best interests.

The Walking Dead‘s sibling series Fear the Walking Dead airs Sunday nights at 9 pm ET on AMC. The Walking Dead will return for its eighth season on October 22, 2017.
