AMC will air the penultimate episode of The Walking Dead Season 7’s first half tonight. The seventh episode of the season is titled, “Sing Me A Song.”
The official synopsis for Sing Me A song reads, “A deeper look at the Sanctuary and the world of the Saviors; members of Alexandria look for supplies.”

Fans of The Walking Dead comics have some high expectations for the episode. The title, alone, has fans expecting to see a few of the most iconic moments from Robert Kirkman’s novels realized on television. Specifically, with Carl last seen in the back of a truck headed to Negan’s Sanctuary, many comic book fans want to see the child of the apocalypse unleash machine gun hell on a few Saviors before being captured by Negan and forced to sing.
The moments took place in issue #105 of The Walking Dead comics.
Of course, the TV series tends to change things up from the comics from time to time. Swapping deaths or otherwise iconic moments with other characters is not unheard of, so if Negan were to hear a tune from another one of the good guys other than Carl, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise.
The Walking Dead will feature multiple groups’ perspectives in tonight’s episode, rather than following a singular perspective as the previous episodes have chosen to do. While Maggie, Sasha, and the Hilltop will be absent, Negan and Rick will both be around despite being in different places.
