In this past episode, Maggie Green completely stole the show. She’s been a fan-favorite character on The Walking Dead since season two, but the loss of Glenn is really propelling Maggie to new heights.

The character’s biggest moment came at the end of ‘Go Getters’ when she put Gregory back in his place. Maggie stood up to the cowardly leader, and she made the whole world cry by declaring her name was Maggie Rhee.
With this heartfelt scene, many may have forgot about the awesome sequences she had throughout the rest of the episode. Maggie used her tactical expertise to set herself up as a future leader of Hilltop, and she showed that the death of her husband is only furthering her development as a strong female character.
While demonstrating this incredible leadership, Maggie came up with one of the most bad-ass zombie killing methods that the show has seen in a long time. When Jesus and Sasha were fighting off walkers, during the night-time car trap, Maggie was supposed to stay put. Unwilling to let her friends fight on their own, Maggie took matters into her own hands.
The farmer’s daughter role came in handy, as Maggie came around the corner driving a giant tractor. After running over a few zombies, the tractor continued onto the car that was playing the music, killing the noise.
It was an epic moment, to be sure, and it seems like Lauren Cohan had just as much fun filming the scene, as fans did watching it.
On Tuesday, Cohan posted a picture on Instagram of herself, sitting in the wheel of the big green beast. She was all smiles in the photo, and it was a great reminder that such serious subject matter can still be fun to film.
Since Maggie is staying at Hilltop, there could be other opportunities to utilize this new weapon. If Negan and the Saviors ever try to attack, they might have a hard time fighting off the relentless forces of John Deere.
