Fear the Walking Dead promises to have a deadly episode on Sunday night as AMC will air the twelfth episode of the show’s third season.

Episode 3×12 is titled “Brother’s Keeper” with a synopsis reading, “As Nick and Jake set out to handle a delicate situation, the Ranch prepares for a threat greater than any they’ve faced before.”
While Episode 3×11, La Serpiente, had a happy ending of sorts, Fear the Walking Dead showrunner Dave Erickson and Victor Strand actor Colman Domingo have both warned of the greater fall following the moments which seem have everything working out at the Ranch.
“Everything seems to be working well,” Domingo said. “We’re going to have water for the Ranch. We’re going to bring a civilian back and it’s all going to work out just fine. That made me really nervous. I’m like, ‘Ah, I think that’s set up,’ because there’s possibly going to be a greater fall because it’s just the nature of things. As you try there’s going to be complications, always. If you think you can just get from point A to point B in an apocalypse then you’re a little… I don’t think you’re thinking with the right brain.”
With a “threat greater than any they’ve faced before” on the horizon, who is safe and who is in danger on Fear the Walking Dead this Sunday night?
Safe or Danger?
Madison- Safe. Madison continues to control Fear the Walking Dead. While she won’t be in Episode 3×12, she is sitting comfortably in control of the water supply, serving as the bridge between Qaletaca, the Ranch, Victor Stand, and Daniel’s dam.
Alicia- Safe. Alicia continues to evolve and emerge as a leader in Fear the Walking Dead. Her leadership skills are tested as certain characters leave her at the Ranch and stakes are raised.
Nick- Safe. People continue to look to Nick for leadership, though he has little interest in leading. Still, he is equipped for the job, like the rest of his family.
Troy- Danger. Troy’s mentality might have him prepared to take on threats but it also makes him a threat. Threats don’t often last very long, despite how effective they may be at times.
Sam- Danger. Sam insists on holding on to his moral compass. Fans of the Dead universe know how that goes… He should just ask Dale, Hershel, Tyreese…
Qaletaca- Safe. Qaletaca has dozens, if not hundreds, of people ready to sacrifice themselves for his leadership. While he is the odd-man out with Madison and Strand in their current situation, no one is eager to wage war by taking out the Nation’s leader.
Ofelia- Safe. Though Ofelia has evolved and become a key member of the Nation, the character might be on the wrong side of a battle which may or may not be on the horizon. Of course, nothing can happen to Ofelia ahead of the inevitable reunion with her father, making her safe — for now.
Daniel- Safe. Like Ofelia, Daniel can’t go anywhere before the family reunion, but he is in a much safer position to survive to see it. The character is a high ranking member at the dam formerly ruled by Dante and more aware of his surroundings and capable to handle them than anyone near him.
Strand- Safe. Victor Strand always has a plan. Now, he has Madison at his side, to make up for his possible lack of survival skills when it comes to killing on command.
