As South Park returned to the school to kick off Season 27 Episode 5, fans were introduced to the mysterious new character Kipling. Not only did this new character immediately spark a debate between all of the students there, but this new character’s design was so detailed that fans have begun wondering about Kipling being added to the series too. Now there are all sorts of potential ideas floating around about how South Park might use this new character moving forward.
South Park Season 27 Introduces Kipling in Episode 5

Kipling makes their debut in the episode “Conflict of Interest” as a guest speaker who comes to the class to potential recruit kids to become a Webelo, which is explained as being a part of the wider Boy Scouts of America program. The character’s gender is something that is put into question pretty much immediately from the students, and it’s what sparks the rest of the episode. But for fans, there are a few things that Kipling says and does that gets fans to wonder about what their debut might mean going forward.
The first major thing Kipling notes is how the Webelos are a program that is for fifth and sixth graders, so it’s gotten South Park fans wondering if Cartman and the others secretly made it to fifth grade under everyone’s nose. The second is that Kipling points out how the Webelos are no longer an organization just for boys, but does not further note their own gender. It not only furthers the joke at hand, but also it seems to be a genuine non-binary or transgender character that South Park has added to their wider world. Naturally, this has fans hoping to see them again in the future.
Will We See Kipling in South Park’s Future?

It could be possible that we see Kipling again in the future. Fans are also theorizing that this character is so detailed, and has such a prominent spot in the episode, that they might be the winner of contest that South Park held before the start of the season (which promised that the winner would be animated into the show). But if that’s not the case, Kipling might pop up again if the Webelos end up having a role in a future episode as Cartman and the other boys get into the world of the Scouts again.
Kipling is such a prominent new addition to the series seemingly out of nowhere, so it makes a ton of sense that South Park fans are wondering whether or not the character is here to stay. There have been lots of examples of one-off characters that disappear without every being mentioned again, but there are many others who end up popping up at the most surprising times. We just might see them again someday.
