After being subjected to extreme stress at the hands of Ajax, Wade Wilson's mutant cells are activated, which in turn cured him of his cancer but left him disfigured. When he returned home, he wanted to make contact with Vanessa, but the horrified reactions from passerbys and his own unease at seeing his reflection convinced him to keep his distance.
In this deleted scene, we pick up right as Wade followed Vanessa to the doorstep of her apartment building and chooses not to contact her after seeing his own reflection. As he walks away into the street, Wade gets hit by a bus. He dead.
Lucky for him, his accelerated healing brings him back to life. Unfortunately, his powers didn't resurrect him until he was put in a body body and brought to a local morgue.
Based upon Marvel Comics' most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
