At the end of Season 2, when Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) went back in time to prevent Reverse-Flash from killing his mother, it dramatically altered the timeline; however, Barry and Reverse-Flash are the only ones that know that. In this Flashpoint timeline, Barry never moved in with Joe West, so he never became close to Joe or his daughter, Iris. Wally West is now the heroic speedster keeping Central City safe. Cisco Ramon is uber-rich and no longer has that geek-friendly vibe.

But, what about the Flashpoint version of Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker)? Does she even have a friendship with Cisco?

Danielle Panabaker ponders, "Do they even know each other?" I've spotted a blink-and-you'll-miss-it shot of Caitlin in a lab coat in the Comic-Con trailer. So, just how different is this Caitlin from the one we know? "Totally different," Panabaker says. "All the relationships are very different." - EW

And what's the Arrow-Flash-Supergirl-Legends of Tomorrow crossover villain tease? "I'm going to probably try to have one unifying threat, as opposed to different things on different ones," producer Greg Berlanti told EW, "which is what the first year was."

The cast features Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon, Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells, and Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West.

The third season of The Flash will debut on Tuesday, October 4th at 8 p.m. (EST).
