Avengers #1 First Look

As part of Marvel NOW!, Marvel Comics is launching a brand new fist issue of the Avengers. Comicbook.com has a first look at the cover and first four pages of Avengers #1.  The new ongoing series is from the creative team of writer Jonathan Hickman, artist Jerome Opena and colorist Dean White. The new Avengers series will be shipping twice a month. According to a Marvel Comics description, "the Avengers go large, expanding their roster and their sphere of influence to a global and even interplanetary level. When Captain America puts out his call - who will answer? Big threats, big ideas, big idealism - these are the Avengers NOW!" Each issue of Avengers  will also include a code for a free digital copy on the Marvel Comics app (for iPhone®, iPad®, iPad Touch® & Android devices). Additionally, each issue of Avengers features special augmented reality content available exclusive through the Marvel AR app – including cover recaps, behind the scenes features and more that add value to your reading experience at no additional cost. Avengers #1 is scheduled to arrive in comic book stores on December 5, 2012.
