A new skin has been revealed for Viktor that gives the evolution-crazed machinist a ghostly new look that seems like it'll arrive just in time for Halloween.
The Machine Herald's new skin is called Death Sworn Viktor, and from the PBE preview that was shown through a couple of League's social media accounts, it looks as though Viktor has taken some tips from another spooky mid laner, Karthus. With a dark cloak and some bony-looking armor, Death Sworn Viktor's staff and mechanical appendage on his back have been redone with an eerie blue glow.
Viktor mains likely don't have to be reminded about how long they've been waiting for a skin. The last skin to come out for the laser-wielding mage was Creator Viktor, a cosmetic that came out on Oct. 1, 2013. After 4 years of waiting, the new skin definitely seems like it was worth the wait, even if it's not the Viktorious Viktor skin that some players have been suggesting for a while now. After it's reveal, we've now seen that the Victorious skin will be going to Graves for this year, a champion that proved to be quite dominant during the Spring.
But even if you're not a fan of Viktor, the reveal of this skin means much more than simply a new cosmetic for the mid laner. The new skin marks what is likely the beginning of the Harrowing skins, the event that occurs around Halloween each year. The Italian League Facebook also hinted that this was just the first of three skins that are going to be fully revealed soon, so while the recipients of the remaining skins aren't confirmed yet, expect to see them soon on the PBE.
If you weren't totally mesmerized by the new Viktor skin, you'll notice some other additions to the Rift in the preview that was shown above. Candles cast a spooky ambience over the Rift, and an ominous, pinkish-purple mist looks to cover the lane.
The skin looks as though it'll probably be priced at 1350 RP given recent trends and the effects that the skin has, but that price hasn't been confirmed. Death Sworn Viktor and the other Harrowing skins will likely release in Patch 7.21
