Despite the heavy competition Saturday afternoon with new trailers, footage, and posters debuting, Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok reportedly generated the most social media buzz, sparking 264,000 new conversations according to ComScore and its PreAct service metrics, reports Variety.
The upcoming Thor sequel rightfully earned all of its buzz, debuting an all-new trailer (which was then debuted online), a new poster, and a majority of its cast being in attendance. The film’s director, Taika Waititi, and his quirky sense of humor also generated many hilarious moments between himself and the rest of the panel, marking the film as one of the convention’s biggest winners.
Earlier Saturday afternoon, the Justice League panel generated 215,000 new conversations, thanks to an all-new four-minute trailer, new Aquaman footage, and a viral moment where Jason Momoa bluntly told a young fan in the audience that Superman was dead.
Avengers: Infinity War, which didn’t broadcast its footage online, earned 90,000 new conversations, with Kingsman: The Golden Circle gaining 84,000 new conversations while Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One inspired 60,000 new conversations.
