Fairy Tail fans, it's time you got ready to catch-up with Natsu and Lucy. The mage duo are gearing up for a long-awaited comeback as a brand-new Fairy Tail film is slated to his theaters in a few months. Come May, the fabled wizard's guild will be in full-focus when the second anime feature for Fairy Tail gets its release. The movie will follow Natsu and his faithful comrades as they embark on a dangerous mission which threatens to corrupt the Dragon Slayer. And, now, fans know a bit more about the film's original characters.

On the movie's official website, casting information for three anime-only characters was given to fans. You can check out the visuals in the following slides, but fans may be able to recognize the actors' names alone. King Animus will be played by Makoto Furukawa while Sonya will be headed up by Aoi Yuki. As for Zash Caine, the muscular minister will be voiced by Jiro Saito.
Another image was also added to the Fairy Tail website. In a post, the site confirmed that the creator of Fairy Tail was heavily involved with the art and story of the film. Hiro Mashima serves as an executive producer on Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry, and the artist made more than 190 storyboards for the film.
Thanks to Mashima, a new visual for the movie has been released. The sketch will be made available to fans who purchase advanced tickets for the movie. The bundle is on-sale in Japan at locations like Animate and 7-Eleven. The image itself is similar to the film's first official visual; Natsu can be seen in a torn outfit with a dragon wing sprouted from his back. Steaming with power, the hero can be seen looking unhinged against a desolate desert background. Clearly, he is not in a state you'd want to mess with.
Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry is being overseen by a slew of vetted industry professionals. It is directed by Tatsuma Minamikawa over at A-1 Pictures. Shoji Yonemura penned the film's script while Yuuko Yamada oversaw all of its character designs. As for its music, Yasuharu Takanashi returned to score the feature.
If you are not familiar with Fairy Tail, then it is about time you familiarized yourself with the anime. The series follows a guild of young, powerful wizards who call Fairy Tail family. Set in a fictional Earth, a boy named Natsu teams up with an unlikely friend Lucy Heartfilia as the latter dreams of becoming a powerful wizard. To date, there are more than 250 episodes of the acclaimed series, and fans can expect more to come in the new year.
Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry will hit theaters on May 6, 2017.
