When you were a kid, there was no greater honor than having your guardians tape up your artwork to their fridge or walls. Crayons and markers were the weapon of choice to make many childhood scribbles come to life, and the past-time is still thriving today. For some of those kids, they abandoned their artistic lives years ago. But, for some, they grew up and turned their doodles into dollars.

So, now, it’s fitting to see one anime artist doing his best to inspire his son. Thanks to Thomas Romain, his child can watch his scribbles transform before his eyes, and the Internet has a lot of feelings about it.

Romain, a French national, is an anime artist who currently lives in Tokyo. Having worked on series like Aria and Space Dandy, Romain takes to Twitter every so often to share the doodles his son does for him. With his kid’s permission, Romain then enters his so-called Father and Sons Design Workshop to polish up the juvenile doodles into high-quality art.

From aliens to superhero-esque cyborgs, Romanin and his son have tackled them all. With each tweet, Romain reminds his followers of the joy art can bring to families and how it can even bond them together. So, if you need some inspiration of your own, you can check out the artist’s best adaptations in the slides following!
