hard-boiledUPDATE: Producer Stephen L'Heureux reached out to ComicBook.com to request that we retract this story, saying that no one is attached to direct Hard Boiled at this time.Whether there was a miscommunication, someone talking out of school or something else, Dewil is not currently attached to any potential adaptation as director, then. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.Original story:

Mukunda Michael Dewil, the director of the upcoming Vehicle 19, will be adapting Hard Boiled from Frank Miller and Geof Darrow, according to a recent interview with Bleeding Cool. "I'm adapting Frank Miller's comic book called Hard Boiled with Stephen L'Heureux from Solipsist films," said Dewil. "They just did Sin City 2 and they own a lot of Frank's comics. That's a very big project that's going be out to market in a couple of weeks… it's quite a big deal. We're kind of pumped for that." Of course, in addition to the Sin City films, Frank Miller is responsible for 300, which was adapted by Warner Bros. and which will soon get a sequel. Darrow, meanwhile, was a concept artist on The Matrix.
