The season premiere…is here!

Videos by ComicBook.com

What’s going on with Olicity? Why does it seem like there’s magic in the air? Lots of stuff going on, and that’s not even discussing the fact that we’re recapping the show from New York Comic Con.

Check out what we spotted. Let us know what we missed. You know the drill.

COOKING TO IMPRESS

If you look at the book Felicity is reading while sitting on the kitchen counter, its title is Cooking to Impress. The author? None other than Tara Butters, executive producer for Marvel’s Agent Carter and the wife of Arrow showrunner Marc Guggenheim.

KORD INDUSTRIES

Rumor has it Ted Kord is going to be featured in an upcoming feature film, likely taking him off the table for direct use in Arrow in the future.

But that doesn’t stop just a TON of the man’s product from showing up in the premiere. The Kord name was all over those boxes in the truck in the opening action scenes, and then again on the train at the end.

And then a name-drop in the Arrowcave Mark II.

RED ARROW

In the comics, when the original Speedy (Roy Harper) grew up, he briefly took on the name of Red Arrow.

And, yeah, it means you can’t make a left turn.

COAST CITY

This is one of the Easter eggs we don’t always call out, becuase it’s been mentioned SO MANY TIMES.

But it’s worth noting that this is the first time Arrow or The Flash have actually BEEN IN Coast City, home of Green Lantern, Ferris Aircraft and more.

JORDAN

Yeah, this is something that EVERYONE was hoping for.

There is, indeed, somebody in Coast City who’s wearing a jacket marked “Jordan.” But blink and you’ll miss it…just like Ollie’s time in Coast City.

FELICITY THE SUPERHERO

As Oliver looks back over months of fibs, late arrivals and the like, we realize that Felicity was playing a very traditional superhero — where even her loved ones couldn’t know her secret — during the time that she was helping Team Arrow without him.

We’re getting to see a little more of the badass Felicity this season, if teasers are any indication; we saw her take down a bad guy while hanging out with Curtis Holt.

CISCO

Again, this hardly counts, since it’s been done so many times, but it’s worth noting that apparently Cisco is becoming the superhero tailor. He not only jazzed up The Flash’s outfit during the off-season, but during his downtime while The Flash was feeling like less of a team player, he also designed the look for the Green Arrow.

BLOOD OF THE IMMORTAL

We aren’t quite sure what Damien Darhk is doing in this episode to gain his immortality; it seems to be some kind of magic ceremony, and that would track with what we already know about this season.

That said? In the comics, he uses the blood of Adeline Kane Wilson — the wife of Slade Wilson, also known as Deathstroke — to gain his immortality.

So, given Slade’s role in this series, that’s an interesting element for them to be either using or excising.

IVY TOWN

This is where Ray Palmer can be found in the comics. Nice place for Ollie to semi-retire, I guess…!

GREEN ARROW

The Green Arrow finally gets his name.

ZOOM

“Is it because of Zoom?”

With that, Oliver wades into the story of The Flash‘s big bad. Apparently soon enough our arrow-sliging heroes will be aware of Earth-2.
