Empire Magazine writes, “Colourful, tongue-in-cheek fun, purpose-built for grown-up lovers of kitsch ’80s science-fiction. But the Marvel formula is starting to feel, well, a little too formulaic.” Empire Magazine gives Guardians of the Galaxy four out of five stars.

Business Insider writes, “Not only does the film finally reward viewers for patiently sitting through countless Marvel end-credits scenes over the years, but Guardians is brash, it’s bold, and it’s not afraid to stray from what you typically expect from Marvel in terms of superheroes.”

Total Film writes, “Mad, marvellous and all kinds of sci-fi magical, Guardians Of The Galaxy is Marvel’s riskiest but most surprising success yet.” Total Film gives Guardians of the Galaxy four out of five stars.

The Upcoming writes, “For the tenth instalment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios have produced a thoroughly enjoyable and visually stunning film, able to be appreciated by even those most apathetic to science fiction.” The Upcoming gives Guardians of the Galaxy four out of five stars.

Pratt Tribune writes, “This is such an unconventional film, but that might be why it works. I won’t say anymore for fear of spoiling it, but go see Guardians of the Galaxy on August 1st (I know I’ll be seeing it again!)” The Pratt Tribune gives Guardians of the Galaxy ten out of ten talking raccoons.

Matt’s Movie Reviews writes, “Guardians of the Galaxy is a spectacularly entertaining, action packed space adventure that is as funny as it is thrilling. If space adventures were categorised as music genres than Guardians of the Galaxy would be rock ‘n’ roll: Big, brass, energetic and with attitude to burn.” Matt’s Movie Reviews gives Guardians of the Galaxy four out of five stars.

Guardians of the Galaxy is scheduled to be released in movie theaters in the UK on July 31, 2013 and in the U.S. on August 1, 2013.
