Warning! Potential spoilers for Justice League lie below!
Ever since Warner Bros. revealed its latest trailer for Justice League, fans have been asking one big question: where is Superman? The famous Kryptonian ex-pat was introduced as a member of the iconic DC Comics team when Justice League was announced. However, in recent weeks, advertising for the movie has failed to hint at Superman’s involvement in the movie. However, a slew of leaked LEGO sets had their packaging hit the Internet earlier this week, leading fans to sleuth over the treasure. And, if netizens are right, then one of the sets’ packaging gives a clue about a major battle Superman will be part of.

One of the several Justice League LEGO sets leaked online features packaging which directly shows Superman fighting against some parademons. The ‘Flying Fox’ kit has stirred up rumors online thanks to its price, but its box also has fans wondering if Superman will get his first taste of action during a particular battle. The LEGO packaging shows Superman fighting alongside Wonder Woman on the ground whilst Batman drives his Batmobile out of the massive transport aircraft. Superman is shown using his heat vision against an unsuspecting parademon, but his presence isn’t enough to stop Steppenwolf from bagging what appears to be the Mother Box of the Amazons.
In the other leaked LEGO sets, Superman is nowhere to be seen. The ‘Battle of Atlantis’ shows Aquaman as he fights against parademons who are after Atlantis’ Mother Box. The other leaked packaging highlights the ‘Knightcrawler Tunnel Attack’ kit where the Flash can be seen guarding Batman’s ride with his super-speed.
Of course, there is no confirmation that Superman will have his big battle debut when Steppenwolf directly attacks the Flying Fox. The scene sounds as if it will be a climatic one given the villain’s in-person appearance. There is always a chance that Superman will be introduced earlier in the film, but fans can understand the dramatic appeal of saving Superman’s return for the final Justice League battle. Barring the Flash’s inevitable fan-boy reaction, the resurrection would be a standout moment of the movie – hands down.
In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroesโBatman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flashโit may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder, from a screenplay by Chris Terrio, based on a story by Snyder and Terrio, and stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Willem Dafoe, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarรกn Hinds.
