LOST IN THE FLOOD
Just like every penultimate episode of every season so far, "Lost in the Flood" shares its title with a Bruce Springsteen song.
NEWS 52
Yet another appearance of the CWverse's favorite round-the-clock news channel, Channel 52.
News 52 was the name of a DC Comics feature that used to run on the final page of comics, keeping readers apprised of what was going on that week in comics. It was introduced around the same time as The New 52, the company's 2011 reboot.
SEQUEL TO WARGAMES
Jokes about the direct-to-video sequel aside, WarGames was a 1983 movie in which a young hacker (then just called a "computer whiz," because 1983) inadvertently touches off a nuclear standoff between the U.S. and the Soviet Union.
How? By gaining control over the U.S. nuclear arsenal, just like Felicity and Cooper are sparring over here.
IVY TOWN
Ivy Town, where Oliver and Felicity lived between Season Three and Season Four, is a DC Comics locale.
In the comics, Ivy Town is home to Ivy University, where Ray Palmer used to teach.
KOVAR
Leonid Kovar in the comics is the son of an archaeologist, and a Russian superhero called Red Star (or sometimes Starfire).
It's not clear which Kovar will be the dictator supposedly keeping Taiana's village down...but it seems likely we'll see some version of Red Star next year in Arrow's flashbacks, especially since showrunners have promised a Russian outing.
At one point, Kovar was a member of the Teen Titans.

Tevat Noah means "Noah's Ark" in Hebrew.
