Later this month, DC's The Legends of Tomorrow will return to The CW for its second season, and fans are excited to see what changes the show with go through. Picking up from last season, the series will follow the league as they protect the world's fragile timeline. And, in a new video, fans can see Citizen Steel as he stumbles upon the squad's secret.

The footage shows Nathan Heywood (Nick Zano) as he confronts Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) about the time-traveling excursions that the league are undertaking. "For the past six months, I've been noticing several changes to history that [are] almost imperceptible. I think your friends are responsible," he tells the Mayor of Star City. And, unsurprisingly, Oliver takes the man's claims seriously.

Several interview clips are interspersed throughout the featurette which see Zano talking about his character. He confirms Nathan is from present day and describes how the hero uncovers the "lost" superhero squad.

In the video, fans see some of Nathan's evidence for themselves as the man shows Oliver various historical documents.

"[Here's] an illuminated manuscript from 1216 depicting a knight that looks a lot like your friend Doctor Palmer - same nose and chins," Nathan explains. There's also a text which describes a woman in white with a bo staff and a hieroglyphic from Mesopotamia depicting a crude drawing of the legend's ship.

Later, footage shows Oliver taking to an unknown person, telling them there's no one better to find the superhero team than a historian. And, when Nathan balks at the mission, Oliver stares the other man down, telling him, "You've been waiting your whole life for a chance like this."

If you're not familiar with Nathan Heywood, then you should know the character is one closely associated with the Justice Society of America. In the comics, Nathan is the third person to assume the 'Steel' moniker as his grandfather and cousin did before him. The boy took on the name Citizen Steel after he was involved in an accident that led to his leg being amputated. The ordeal leaves him addicted to painkillers, but he ditches the habit after an incident leaves give him an organic metal body.

At some point, it looks like Nathan will come in contact with the JSA in Legends of Tomorrow. The superhero team will debut in the second episode of Season 2, and its synopsis says that Nathan will prove he should be part of their team. However, the description warns the character has a secret he shares with his grandfather that might make his wish impossible.
