Jena Malone’s Role in Batman V Superman: Ultimate Edition Discovered in Credits

A keen eyed redditor found an unlisted video on the THX-DC Youtube Page called the “Batman v Superman – Ultimate Edition – End Credits.” If you watch about one minute and thirteen seconds in you’ll see Jena Malone’s credit, Jenet Klyburn.

Malone’s role was cut from the theatrical release of Batman V Superman so for months now everyone (including us) have been making guesses at who The Hunger Games actress could be playing. Some guessed Barbara Gordon, some Robin and some Batgirl. For the last 3 months everyone was certain she was to play Gordon, as a leaked Warner Brothers document said so.

Jenet Klyburn is a S.T.A.R. Labs scientist and in fact eventually becomes the Director of S.T.A.R. labs. While this role is certainly smaller than what many had guessed it does connect her to a much larger universe.As a S.T.A.R. Labs scientist, she’s likely got ties to Cyborg’s father, Silas Stone, who was seen in Lex Luthor’s metahuman thesis files. In the files S.T.A.R. Labs branding can be seen. So we’ll very likely get to see her in the upcoming Flash and Cyborg films. Flash is set to release in March of 2018 and Cyborg, April of 2020 – we’ll likely see those dates change at least once depending on Warner’s success between now and then.
