Dynasty Warriors 9 Will Run At 4K/30 FPS or 1080p/60 On PS4 Pro

For those looking to pick up Dynasty Warriors 9 when it eventually reaches its global release, players who own a PS4 Pro will be in for a visually stunning treat.

Those who already anticipated the release of the game and what the PS4 Pro could mean for the specs looked for answers from Atsushi Miyauchi, the Game Director behind Dynasty Warriors 9. As reported in an article on the Taiwanese website Bahamuth's Crazy Arcade, Miyauchi stated that the newest installation in the series would indeed be playable at both 4K/30 FPS or 1080p/60 FPS.

This news comes not long after the first images and details of the game were released, and if the initial images are anything like what the rest of the game will look like, the tuned-up visuals the PS4 Pro will offer will make the game look absolutely stunning, especially when the game's performance isn't taking a hit as well.

The improvements being made are also quite welcome after the criticism that Dynasty Warriors 8 faced after its release. Miyauchi also noted that the reason behind the sub-par graphics in the most recent installment was a result of the game initially being created for the PlayStation 3 and only tweaked and improved when it made the jump over to the PlayStation 4. There won't be a repeat of that mistake this time, though, as the team behind the game has made clear that Dynasty Warriors 9 is being created from the ground-up for the PS4 Pro.

New details about the game also look to add another welcome addition to the series just as the improved performance hopes to accomplish. Perhaps most notably, Dynasty Warriors 9 will be receiving an open-world treatment to breathe new life into the franchise. The environment is also expected to play a larger part in the combat now as players can utilize nearby oil cans to start fires and can use environmental objects and hazards, such as catapults, to lay siege to their enemies.

There's no word as of this time when the game will have its global release. Dynasty Warriors 9 is currently expected to be released in Japan sometime during the winter.
