As we’ve covered extensively, Nintendo has done pretty darn well for itself recently. The Nintendo Switch easily surpassed the companys’ first-month sales goal of 2 million units, topped the charts in April as well, and Nintendo’s stock has reached all-new highs. Of course, a lot of this success has come via North America and Europe โ how’s Nintendo doing in their homeland of Japan? Not bad at all!

Japanese gaming mag Famitsu just released the top 30 best-selling games in Japan for the month of April, and Nintendo totally dominates the list. Only a couple PS4 games, a new Warriors title and a Dark Souls III re-release, sneak into the top 10. Otherwise, it’s entirely populated by Nintendo Switch and 3DS games. Unsurprisingly, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Monster Hunter XX nab the first two spots, while the debuting Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia nabs a respectable third-place spot. Even minor Nintendo games like Snipperclips manage to slip into the top 10. A high tide raises all boats!
