Xbox fans are starting to wonder if a bunch of PlayStation games like Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of Us Part 2 are coming to the Microsoft console. Over the last handful of years, we’ve seen massive changes into how platforms are releasing their games. It used to be that there was a defined wall between platforms where games like Halo or Uncharted would never leave their exclusive consoles with maybe the exception of a PC port. However, recently Xbox has started bringing games like Gears of War to PS5 to PlayStation, signaling a brand new strategy where exclusives aren’t as big of a deal as they used to be.

Some Xbox fans were a bit frustrated with this move as they felt it was unfair since PlayStation wasn’t really doing the same thing. Helldivers 2 has since come to Xbox which has been great, but some of those massive single player games that define PlayStation don’t seem to be budging. However, fans are starting to speculate that this could change soon. Fans have begun spotting search results on Google which seemingly point to German Xbox Store pages for PlayStation games like Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us Part 2, and Horizon Zero Dawn. The pages themselves aren’t live, but they do appear as Google results.
Are PlayStation Games Really Coming to Xbox?
Unfortunately, you probably shouldn’t read into this. Despite these pages circulating in the news right now, this isn’t the first time people have seen these. In fact, they’ve been there for years. No one has a definitive answer as to why they pop up, but there are two prevailing theories. The first one is that all of these games are available on PC and if you play them while signed into the Xbox app, they will display on your Xbox profile to your friends. There are no Xbox achievements for them nor can you be redirected to any kind of active store page.
The other theory is that this is a search index for popular Xbox Store search results. The URL specifically notes that it’s the result of a “search”, so it’s possible that Google has indexed the error page that comes when you search for a game that doesn’t actually exist on Xbox. PlayStation did recently suggest it may be bringing more games to Xbox, but these search results do not seem to be relevant and probably don’t mean much at all.
Of course, Tokyo Game Show is this coming week so maybe there will be some big surprise announcements about great PlayStation games coming to Xbox, but don’t hold your breath. Anything can happen, but as of right now, it doesn’t seem like PlayStation is going to give up some of their biggest games in bulk. Stranger things have happened as many were shocked when PlayStation started bringing their games to PC, but PC doesn’t really compete with PlayStation in the same way that Xbox does.
