When you go to the movies, you want emotion. You want action. You want drama and relationships and explosions and twists. Captain America: Civil War offered all of that to audiences as it opened in theaters this weekend.

Among the dramatic feud between Captain America, Iron Man, and their respective alliances, were epic, exciting moments. Whether you get excited by drama, bro-mances, or gigantic action sequence, there was something for everyone throughout Civil War‘s 146 minutes.
We’re about to take a look at the top five most exciting moments from Captain America: Civil War but be warned: major spoilers follow.
Let’s jump in.
Giant-Man
Without a doubt, Ant-Man’s transformation to Giant-Man was the biggest moment of the movie (all pun intended).
Late in Civil War‘s massive airport battle sequence (which we’ll talk more about later) Ant-Man decided it was time to pull out the big guns. He leaped onto a flying by War Machine and decided to take a big risk and reverse his shrinking ability to become the towering hero who is Giant-Man.
The moment of his transformation, a scene held back from trailers and was a genuine for surprise for many members of the audience, was awe inspiring. Lang grabbed onto War Machine and tossed him and other objects around like toys.
It wasn’t until Spider-Man, Iron Man, and War Machine teamed up Empire Strikes Back style to take him down that Giant Man was defeated.
Queens
The instant the screen read “QUEENS,” every fan knew it was time to meet the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s new take on Spider-Man.
For years fan have been wishing to see Spider-Man alongside the Avengers but it wasn’t until a deal between Sony and Marvel back in March of 2015 that he was legally allowed to.
Civil War cast young actor Tom Holland for the role and he couldn’t have possibly delivered a better portrayal. Peter Parker was young, fun, and ambitious. Then comes Spider-Man. The webslinger swung into action, yanking Cap’s shield straight from his hands to kick things off. What followed was only Spidey-perfection as he dueled with Cap, Falcon, and Bucky.
Biker Bucky
One of the first jaw-dropping moments of Civil War came during Black Panther’s pursuit of Bucky through German tunnels and highways.
As the pursuit got hotter and police joined in, Bucky found a civilian riding a motorcycle passed him and in one motion knocked the biker off of his ride, grabbed the bike, flipped it around, jumped on, and took off back in the direction from which he came.
The scene warped into slow motion with a sweet bass drop to emphasize the excitement. It was awesome.
Floored
Wanda literally floored Vision with her powers.
Following the moments of Hawkeye’s Civil War introduction, Scarlet Witch had to unleash her powers, partially showing her unbelievable potential, and send Vision countless stories through the ground.
For most of the film, Vision seemed unbeatable. This was emphasized in the earlier parts of this same scene as Hawkeye tried to take on the synthetic being. Hawkeye’s fists would move right through him, his arrows would break, and he wouldn’t win.
Scarlet Witch, though, took Vision down quite easily.
The Battle
The 17-minute airport battle sequence feels like the pinnacle of modern cinema. It was the epitome of all super hero movies and culmination of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date.
Almost a dozen Marvel heroes lined up ready for battle. A short fight ensued but it lead to almost a dozen super heroes charging one another. As the wide shot closed in, one of the most epic moments in cinematic history, Iron Man brought down his fist on Captain America’s shield and chaos ensued at a German airport.
Most character’s arcs were realized in this sequence. Vision found himself feeling emotions. Scarlet Witch discovered the nature of her powers and friends. Spider-Man was tossed into the larger super hero world.
Never did the battle give the audience a feeling like these heroes wanted to kill one another. They were shedding their emotions in one of the few ways they knew how. The heroes are used to fighting for their beliefs and they were unleashing their views and emotions in one epic sequence of action and impressive computer graphics.
