Jessica Jones Hits The Set Of Defenders And She's Brought A Friend

For those who have kept up with the Netflix Marvel universe, the upcoming Defenders series will be a gluttony of riches, as the show will star fan favorites from all four shows. In fact, filming has already begun, and several new photos show a Jessica Jones cast member on set.

That cast member is Rachel Taylor, who played Jessica's best friend Trish Walker on the show. Granted, when the show started you would be hard pressed to know they were best friends, but as the season went on you started to see the bond they share. Taylor was spotted on set with an umbrella when she wasn't filming a scene with Jessica Jones actress Krysten Ritter (via Dailymail.co.uk).

The Defenders will bring phase one of the Netflix Marvel universe to a close, and will likely set up the next big phase of the universe. In addition to the core four shows (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist), the universe will also be adding a Punisher series to its schedule, and the rumor is that it will also introduce three other characters, those being Blade, Ghost Rider, and Moon Knight. Nothing is confirmed of course, but it is interesting to ponder how they'll fit in with the other shows.

Jessica Jones will also be well represented in The Defenders, with Jones herself (Krysten Ritter) in a starring role, along with Trish Walker (Rachel Taylor), Malcolm (Eka Darville), and Jeri Hogarth (Carrie-Ann Moss) confirmed. As for Luke Cage, the Defenders includes Cage (Mike Colter), Knight (Simone Missick), and Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson), who has starred in all three series.

Daredevil's Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson), Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), and Daredevil (Charlie Cox) are already confirmed for the series, and it's also likely that Punisher actor Jon Bernthal might make an appearance. Iron Fist will also be present, but outside of Finn Jones, it's not known who else will make the trip.

Daredevil seasons 1 and 2, Jessica Jones season 1, and Luke Cage season 1 are all available on Netflix. Iron Fist will premiere on March 17, 2017. The Defenders expected later in the year. The Punisher does not have a release date yet.
