Elton John seems to have confirmed his appearance in Kingsman: The Golden Circle with a new poster revealed on Instagram.

The pop superstar was previously reported to be in talks for a role in the film, which is the sequel to 2014's Kingsman: The Secret Service, but this is the first time that John has commented on it himself.

The poster reads "Wednesday Night's Alright for Fighting," which is a play on his song "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting."

In the status portion of the post, he also notes that "It's been a long time since Tommy." Tommy is the 1975 film that John appeared in, performing his version of the Who's "Pinball Wizard."

It's been a long time since Tommy..... #Kingsman

Kingsman: The Golden Circle is written and directed by Matthew Vaughn, who helmed the previous film. The sequel has Taron Egerton returning as protagonist Gary "Eggsy" Unwin. In addition to John, the cast includes Halle Berry, Julianne Moore, Channing Tatum, Mark Strong, Edward Holcroft, Sophie Cookson, and Pedro Pascal. The studio has also heavily hinted that Colin Firth will be returning as Harry Hart, despite Hart's apparent death in the first film.

Kingsman: The Secret Service is based on the graphic novel The Secret Service, created by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons. The story involved street tough Eggsy being taken in by Hart, a friend of Eggsy's deceased father, and training to become a superspy and member of the elite Kingsman espionage agency.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle will see Eggsy and Merlin embarking on a new mission that requires them to travel to the United States and join forces with the Statesmen, the American equivalent of the Kingsmen.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle is scheduled for release on April 6, 207.
