Hounded from his car by paparazzi photographers, newly-minted Human Torch Michael B. Jordan seemingly confirmed the as-yet-unofficial reports that he'd been cast, thanking a TMZ reporter who congratulated him on the role without any attempt to correct the claim that Jordan will play the hot-headed hero in director Josh Trank's Fantastic Four.

Pressed on the issue of racebending Johnny Storm--a choice that's upset some hardcore comic book fans and of course some people who just don't like it and will hide behind fidelity to the source material--Jordan was dismissive, saying that those critics will see the movie regardless.

Earlier this week, a report leaked suggesting that the Fantastic Four had been fully cast--and that Jordan would be joined by Miles Teller as Reed Richards, Kate Mara as Sue Storm and Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm/The Thing. Mara first evaded and then later seemingly confirmed the rumors.
