Jem and the Hologram Movies Asks For Fans to Audition as Backup Dancers, Singers

Jon M. Chu, director of G.I. Joe: Retaliation, will take on Jem and the Holograms for Hasbro, the director revealed today in a video embedded below. To make the film, Chu and producer Jason Blum are asking fans to submit headshots and video links to be considered as singers and dancers appearing in the movie, based on the '80s animated series. According to Variety, Project will reimagine Jem for a hyperlinked social media age, the producers say, and revolve around an orphaned teenage girl who becomes an online recording sensation, she and her sisters embark on a music-driven scavenger hunt –- one that sends them on an adventure across Los Angeles in an attempt to unlock a final message left by her father.
