The most popular franchise in the history of DreamWorks Animation just got a lot easier to access in the world of streaming. In recent years, the Shrek movies have been often found themselves split between different streaming services, making it difficult for fans to watch through the whole franchise without owning their own copies. When the original would be on Peacock, one or two of the sequels would pop up on Netflix. They have been all over the place in recent years. However, a big wave of streaming additions on Monday changed all that, bringing all four of the Shrek films to the same service.

September 1st saw Netflix add Shrek, Shrek 2, Shrek the Third, and Shrek Forever After to its lineup. While Netflix has had these films before, the service hasn’t had all four at the same time. This now provides movie fans the best opportunity to watch the entire story of Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey, especially with the long-awaited fifth installment on the way.
In addition to the four Shrek movies, Netflix has also added Puss in Boots to its lineup. While this isn’t exactly a Shrek title, it does spin directly out of the events of those films, following Puss in Boots on his own adventure.
Where Else to Find Shrek Online
Netflix is currently the only place to find all four Shrek movies together, but you can also find most of the films in the series over on Peacock.
NBCUniversal’s streaming service just added Shrek, Shrek 2, and Shrek the Third to its lineup on Monday morning, nearly matching Netflix’s additions. Both services also have Puss in Boots. The only difference is that Peacock doesn’t currently have Shrek Forever After available, as Netflix does.
That said, Peacock will be adding Puss in Boots: The Last Wish later in the month, basically drawing even with Netflix when it comes to the number of Shrek franchise films available.
