Stan Lee, the father of the Marvel universe, has seen so many of the wonderful characters that he had a hand in creating become realized on the big, and small, screen by a bevy of talented actors. When appearing on Larry King's talk show the comic book icon was asked whether there is a particular actor among that group he has become close to.

He chose, Chris Evans. The Mystery Date model-turned-actor has played two Marvel characters: Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in Tim Story's Fantastic Four films and Captain America/Steve Rogers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Stan has appeared in all 6 Marvel films Evans has starred in.

Larry King: Who is the Marvel actor that you've bonded with the most?

Stan Lee: The Marvel actor? Chris, the fellow who plays Captain America.

Larry King: Oh, he's a good actor.

Stan Lee: He was The Human Torch...

Larry King: Was?

Stan Lee: And then they made him Captain America. And he's the greatest guy! But I love them all!

Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

Captain America: Civil War opens in theaters May 6, 2016.
