Could Oliver Queen be Starling City's next mayoral candidate on Arrow?

It's now a solid possibility, thanks to one whopper of a tease from Arrow's executive producer Marc Guggenheim. Today, Guggenheim continued his favorite Twitter tradition of tweeting the title page to whatever episode the crew has just begun filming. And the title for Arrow Season Two Episode Four is none other than "The Candidate."

While ambiguous to the general public, this title carries a lot of weight for the DC Comics faithful. As most readers will remember, Oliver Queen was once elected mayor of Star in DC Comics during the "One Year Later Storyline" in 2006. It was a pretty big overhaul for the character, placing him the public spotlight as both vigilante and elected official. Oliver's mayoral status lasted for healthy number of issue's during writer Judd Winick's run on the title, before Oliver was forced to resign from office after it was discovered that he secretly banked the rogue superhero team, the Outsiders. Along with the official name change to Green Arrow, this plot point would be the latest in Arrow Season Four's re-dedication to Green Arrow's comic book lore.

What do you think readers? Could Oliver Queen run for office in Arrow's fourth season? Let us know in the comments.

Arrow's fourth season premieres October 7 at 8:00 p.m. on The Cw.
