Arrow: The Secret Origin of Feclitiy Smoak Clip Released

The morning after the U.S. election, Arrow fans woke up to a new clip from tonight's episode, showing off a really, really dumb example of political activism.

In the clip, a young Felicity Smoak helps her then-boyfriend hack into the Department of Education -- and while she apparently believes he's doing it just to prove he can, or to do something minor, his immediate move is to attempt to eliminate all student loan debt.

Felicity, being smarter than the average post, notes that they'll be immediately caught, and that any changes they make will be undone immediately as a result, since no one will ever believe it was a glitch, but that doesn't stop him.

"The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak" will see that ex-boyfriend reappear in the current day, along with Felicity's mother, and use a virus she programmed in college to attack Starling City.

Arrow airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
